About Me, Nesta

Hi Ya’ll!  My name is Nesta and I am a viszla/lab mix, born in the high country of Breckenridge , Colorado.  I picked up the “ya’ll” word when we moved to the south.  Kinda like it though.   I told my mom I wanted to do the introduction but then I am going to hand it over to her and let her do all the blogging about my life and stuff.  I’ve got other things to do – like sleep, and eat, and play with balls and …. well, that’s important stuff!  And when Im not doing that, my mom and I are busy playing outdoors.  We live in North Carolina now, moved here in February 2012.   We miss all the mountains that we lived in while in Colorado, but we make the most out of the beautiful state of North Carolina too.  Interesting fact about me: When I was just 1 year old, we moved all the way to Holland together!  Can you believe that?! My mom put me in a travel crate and flew me in an airplane all the way to Europe, just so we could live there for one year.  Everyday, we took care of a little girl that wore diapers.  We made a good threesome that year;  did everything together.  This is where I learned the fine art of running alongside a bicycle while still on a leash.  I made for a good Dutch dog.  I met lots of other Dutch dogs, and even learned commands in Dutch!  Then, after the year was over, we moved back to America, back to where we both loved it the most – out west – amongst the big sky and tall mountains.   We lived in Montana first, then went back to Colorado, to Colorado Springs, and then Steamboat Springs.  Steamboat was our favorite!  My mom and I have a very close relationship.  We were each other’s only family for a long time, so we did everything together.  She tells me we’re soul-mates.  I think that means that we are connected on a very deep level,  like we were destined to meet each other, and our life together was already mapped out before we even had met.  We moved back to her home state of NC to be closer to her family and new boyfriend.  Now he’s my best man!   The match couldn’t be better – he loves me and I love him!  Okay, well, I better go.  Got other things to do, remember?
